This is the Barthurst caribou herd. This trip is about as far North as you can go - the arctic circle for trophy BARRENGROUND caribou. (limit 2). Air flights are to Yellow Knife from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Full service accommodations are available at the lodge.

Besides caribou, they offer wolverine, grouse, black bear, arctic wolf, musk ox, polar bear, grizzly bear, and fox. Excellent fishing for lake trout, grayling and Northern. Fly-fishing is SUPERB. Highly recommended by many as a top quality hunt, with plenty of action all day. The herd movement is constant and endless. Excellent references / referrals. Guides will take you by boat daily to where the caribou are traveling and landing. You will hunt on foot, spot and stalk. NO WAITING days for caribou to appear in the distance. You go to them and set up. You will have many opportunities at trophy bulls - DAILY! Hunt bow or rifle.

Hunt #3

This outfitter specializes in muskox hunts. The hunt is done by boat & you work the shore line looking for them. They are a herd animal so you will see up to 25 more in a herd. When you locate them you will leave the boat and do a spot & stalk. This is a very challenging

hunt for the bow hunter. Bow shots are approximately 15 - 30 yds. The hunts are 5 days - but you can be successful in 1 or 2 days. The remainder of the trip will be used fishing for lake trout & arctic char. The muskox season goes from Aug. thru March. The animals keep their long shaggy hair year round so there is no bald patches as on a spring bear.

This is another quality outfitter for Barren ground Caribou. The packages include caribou tag, food, lodging, 2x1 guide, field care, fishing, and transportation to & from hunting camp. As everyone, you will fly into Yellowknife & be picked up there.
