Hunt #1

THE LAST FRONTIER!! Hunting and fishing with a background of beauty and splendor - second to none. I have 2 outfitter friends that once you talk to them you'll feel you've known them all your life. They're very personable and fun to be with. They take a small number of hunters with a HIGH SUCCESS RATIO.

You will be hunting the Mulchatna Caribou herd in the Iliamna area. Also, hunting in the Dillingham, Mc Grath, and Stony River areas for other big game. They do a lot of their hunts from motorized rafts called catamarans, floating large sections of rivers up to 30 miles or so. Hunt, spot, stalk, and fish. WHAT AN ADVENTURE!!!!! Hunt moose, caribou, brown and grizzly bear, sheep, and goat. Also, summer and fall FISHING trips.

Myself, and many others consider them to be among the top of the top for quality and personalized trips. If you want to CUSTOMIZE a hunt- they can do that too. Bow or rifle.

Their drop camp is NOT just another drop camp. They fly the area before you get there and find out where the best action is. They set up your camp, supply all food for 7 to 10 days, cook your meals, and help you with locating animals and care of animals and hides. This is what they consider a drop camp. Can you believe it??? This is definitely Not a drop you and leave, "oh well - you're on your own" hunt. I hate to admit to this, but I've been a victim of this type of hunt in the past. Again, quality and personal attention at its finest.

I can hardly wait to go back to ALASKA. If only our hunting seasons were longer than 3 months.

This guide and outfitter has been in business over 30 years and is based in McGrath. A highly qualified year round - full service-family owned operation. They take a limited number of clients each year. They will do a fully guided or un-guided hunt. On a typical un-guided hunt you will be outfitted for trip. How many days are arranged before hand. Short, medium, or long trips can be arranged. There are 25 up to 100 mile trips - 2 to 6 people in a party. As you move down stream a plane will check on you time to time to bring you supplies or take out your moose meat, which will enable you to continue hunting and fishing. It's an excellent way to see a lot of country and a lot of game every day.

They offer a caribou and black bear hunt for 7 days in another area. This is also an un-guided drop cam p with mid-week check ups.
